SALARY: $200K+, Annual

Major online marketing firm is seeking a VP of Software Development to be responsible for leading an effective software development organization such as mentoring team managers, staffing (both local and remote), vendor selection and management, budgeting and implementing processes, as well as the escalation point for technical and policy decisions around implementing the product. Duties include:

• Set and lead the strategy for the Development department
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the department
• Develop annual business plans identifying key activities and priorities
• Implement and communicate operational strategies and solutions
• Set and Manage performance targets
• Ensure staffing levels are met and managed
• Set and monitor Development budgets
• Ensure business continuity and recovery requirements are met
• Provide technical decision making to eliminate obstacles

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Experience in coaching and managing a 20+ people team
• Strong Unix/Linux skills with knowledge in Perl, C
• Knowledge of data processing systems and database technologies
• Demonstrated business acumen on product strategy and valuation
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills
• Project management and presentation skills
